Training: Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts. He then joined one of the world’s largest cruise ships, Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign of the Seas, as lead vocalist.
Theatre includes: in the West End, most recently, Desperately Seeking Susan (Novello). Also, Mas Caribe (for Nitro, part of the Greenwich Festival), Dancing in the Streets, Grand Hotel, Rat Pack, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Time’s Up, Five Guys Named Moe and The Lion King. Other theatre includes: Starlight Express, Sweet Charity, Blues in the Night, Legends of Swing and Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Television includes: The Multicultural Achievement Awards, The Bill, The Richard Whiteley Show, Richard and Judy and Blue Peter.
Recordings include: his album The Unexpected Paul Hazel, a collection of 12 original jazz songs, and many compilation CDs. He has also done numerous gigs with his jazz band.
He is delighted to be joining the cast of Avenue Q.
